Service asks a lot of the body. Heavy packs, long rucks, parachute landings, cramped hours in vehicles and aircraft, and years of demanding training can leave their mark. Many veterans tell us they’ve simply learned to live with a stiff back or a shoulder that hasn’t felt right in years. Chiropractor Dr. Hoover doesn’t think that should be the plan. He looks at what may be contributing to your discomfort so your care can address more than just the symptoms.

New Patients

Care That Starts With Listening

Your first visit begins with a conversation. We’ll ask about your time in service, any past injuries, and how you’re feeling day to day. Dr. Hoover will also ask about the medications you’re taking. His education in pharmacology gives him additional insight into how medications may affect your condition.

From there, we’ll explain what we find in plain language and recommend a plan built around your body and your goals. As you start moving more comfortably, we’ll share home care tips and stretches. Many of our patients also choose ongoing maintenance visits to help them stay on track.

Dr. Hoover has been practicing since 1988, and he doesn’t rely on just one technique. Depending on your needs, your care may include:

Concerns We Commonly See

Veterans visit our office for help with a variety of service-related aches and old injuries. These include back and neck pain, sciatica, disc-related discomfort, hip pain, and shoulder or knee injuries. We also see patients dealing with headaches, limited range of motion, and numbness or tingling associated with conditions such as peripheral neuropathy.

Most patients receive therapies alongside their adjustments, but we can also accommodate those interested in a particular therapy on its own.

We’re in-network with the VA, as well as Medicare and Blue Cross & Blue Shield. If you’d like to use your VA benefits for chiropractic care, give us a call. Our team can help explain the referral and authorization process, including what’s needed before scheduling.
